The routine
What changes, and when
Timelines describe a typical routine, not a guaranteed outcome. Pigmentation responds differently to different skin, and sun exposure without SPF undoes progress. For melasma or pigmentation that does not shift, see a dermatologist.

Consistent use, twice a day. Here is what one course did.

Description
Broad-spectrum SPF 50 PA+++ in a lightweight gel that absorbs fast
and finishes ultra matte. No white cast, no sticky film, no clogged
pores.
Formulated with vitamin C, vitamin E, aloe vera, glycerin and
ashwagandha extract, so it hydrates and supports skin clarity while
it protects. Dermatologically recommended for sensitive skin.
How to use
Step 1 — Apply generously. A thin layer does not give you SPF 50. Spread a generous amount on all exposed skin fifteen minutes before sun exposure.
Step 2 — Cover properly. Face, neck, arms and anywhere else exposed. Ears and the back of the neck are the ones people miss.
Step 3 — Reapply every two hours, and after swimming, sweating or towel-drying.
Use daily, including on cloudy days. UVA passes through cloud.
What to expect
Sunscreen is the only product here whose job you cannot see. What you should notice on day one is the finish: matte, not greasy, and no white cast.
What it is doing over months is preventing the next round of dark spots. If you are using any pigmentation product, this is what makes that work hold.
Patch test before first use. If irritation persists, stop and see a dermatologist.
